Company Founded
Fred Sahakian founded as a jewelry company
Fred Sahakian founded the company in Providence, Rhode Island as a jewelry business, acquiring screws for earrings. This humble beginning laid the foundation for what would become a leading aerospace fastener manufacturer.
WWII Defense Manufacturing
Started manufacturing screws during WWII
During World War II, finding screws became increasingly difficult, so Fred began manufacturing his own. The government shortly after mandated the company manufacture for the defense industry, marking Pilgrim's entry into defense contracting and establishing our commitment to precision manufacturing for critical applications.
Chandler Facility Opens
Opened Chandler, Arizona facility
Pilgrim opened its state-of-the-art facility in Chandler, Arizona, strategically located to serve aerospace and defense customers across North America. This expansion solidified our commitment to aerospace solutions and positioned us for future growth.
Mars Rover Components
Manufactured parts for Mars Rover

Rebranding & Consolidation
All manufacturing moves to Chandler

Meidoh Group Partnership
Joins Meidoh Group
Pilgrim joined the Meidoh Group, combining over 90 years of manufacturing expertise with global strength. This partnership enhanced our international capabilities while maintaining personalized, precision service that meets the highest industry standards.
Medical Division Established
ISO 13485 Medical Certification
Pilgrim Medical Division was established with ISO 13485 Medical Certification, expanding our capabilities into the medical device sector. This certification demonstrates our commitment to quality management standards specific to medical devices, ensuring safety and effectiveness in healthcare applications.

Founded in 1932 by Fred Sahakian in Providence, Rhode Island, Pilgrim has been dedicated to manufacturing excellence for over 90 years. The Chandler, Arizona facility opened in 1988, solidifying our commitment to aerospace solutions.
In 2017, the company consolidated operations and rebranded as Pilgrim Aerospace Fasteners. In 2023, Pilgrim joined the Meidoh Group and expanded into the medical sector with ISO 13485 certification.
Today, Pilgrim is building on its legacy of excellence through the disciplines of EOS, aligning every team member around a shared vision and operating with focus, transparency, and drive.
